Ok yeah I had a super day playing- ToP yada yada, then Tommy took us out to ColdStone for really crappy ice cream, yada yada, the CLIMAX!
We almost hit Hurley from LOST with our car!!
There we were trying to get out of Long's parking lot, which is usually packed with lame pedestrians, keeping us from moving. Tommy swerves around a girl with a million carts and stops short as some dude was stupid enough to walk in FRONT of us while we were trying to avoid the car girl. We spot, look up, and gasp........
and stare.....
and stare......
Tommy goes" dude it's hurley"
and stareeeee....
and stare him down all the way into the Long's Store.
As I stared at him walking in front of us, looking kinda confused and sad (awww I wonder what was wrong?Besides almost being hit by a car) I kept trying to mutter "hur- hur- hur- hur-" and found myself a zombie. Well now I know what happens when I come face to face with famous people. I turn into goo and mutter. Well Well we recovered after he disappeared and contemplated giving our encounter a second try to get an autograph. But alas, people in the store would probably be bugging him as soon as they saw him, so we drove home. I feel kind of silly that I zombiefied like that, but at least I didn't get the guts to scream "Hurley!!!" as I remembered afterwards that's not even his real name. And though I know the real name, I'm still in gaga mode and can't remember it for the life of me...
This is the third famous person I've met in the past 5 years! I really should walk around with a camera more..

You Know You're Dominican When...
People tell you to stop screaming when you`re really talking
You grew up afraid of something called "El Cuco"
You clap your hands while laughing
You're able to dance without any music
You learned how to dance merengue and bachata before you could walk
You point things out with your nose and mouth
You've gotten beat with any of the following: rubber slippers, extension cord, hanger (plastic or metal), big rice spoon
You waste ALL your money in the summer time buying "frio-frio" RED FLAVOR
You've gone outside in rolos and chancletas
Your parents go to a little room in the back of your local bodega "pa juga lo número" of DR
You consider platanos one of the major food groups
You can smell chuletas cook in your house from down the block
While in your country, you hear people on the block yellin "¡se fue la luz!"
Your house in DR has an oil lamp in every room
You grew up listening to Fernandito Villalona, Sergio Vargas, and Los Hermanos Rosario
Your dad or uncle claim to be dead broke, yet rock a cell phone and is laced with mad gold around his neck and wrists
You drink Presidente, Brugal, or Mama Juana like WATER
You've gotten whipped by a diablo cojuelo or lechon
You have at least 3 porcelain figurenes in your living room
Your sofas are covered in plastic
All the juices you have in your house are the type that come in powder, and you just mix with water, like Tang
You eat Mangu on a daily basis
You ate rice, beans and some type of meat for dinner yesterday, today and probably will tomorrow
You believe Vivaporu is the cure for EVERYTHING
You've been in a carro publico ;)
You use an old t-shirt, towel, or anything as a mop, and use your feet to mop
You've let some one throw AGUA FLORIDA on you for good luck
Your house on the island has broken pieces of glass to keep away robbers
You refer to every cat as mishu
Your childhood games were called: el escondido, pollito pleibi, apara y batea, el gallo, or that game with a stick and a wheel
Your parents dressed you up for Halloween as a vaquero, campesina, gitana, OR hawallana
Your refridgerator has about 85 magnets on it
All your pots and pans are inside the oven
Your local bodega does lay-a-away/credit plans (fiao)
A frosted beer to you is vestida de novia or una fria
Your parents ever gave you aceite de bacalao when you were sick
You're proud to be Dominican - and you pass these jokes on to all your Dominican friends!

I'm so sleepy, but I have a fridge to clean and lots of clothes to wash still..
Yesterday was my anniversary. I made Tommy breakfast in bed, and then he had to run off to work. So I took the kids out to buy Tommy his gift. I got him Burning Crusade as I'm sure he'll use it to death. Then I got my Huuli Chicken and Manapuas for lunch. While at home cleaning I got a knock on my door. Tommy had ordered a dozen roses for me! =D =D They are very pretty, and I'm glad he didn't forget. He came home and we had a very nice evening. AKA I watched him play WOW until I passed out from boredom :)
I'm also very grateful that both of my kids sleep in their own beds. It may not seem like a big thing, but it's such a big step that some parents never get over. Freedoooooommmmmm...

So this girl comes to my door saying she's traveling the country learning how to speak to strangers, right?
She blah blahs about stuff til I mention I'm from Peabody. Then she gets "Oh migosh, I'm from New Hampshire!" More blah blah.
Then she comes out with the "If you could help me out, please buy some magazines please." I go "uh..NO"
She says " Well, we all know what people call those from MA.....[Masshole]" Then she walks away. HAHAHA!
Across the land and over seas
our name rings loud and clear
For no matter where I go
Boston's always near
And yes that IS my dog, Romeo in a Red Sox hat. He's still alive and kicking apparently.

I forgot to mention that Smiley is visiting us right now. :)
Today we went to Ala Moana in hopes of getting an autograph from Simone Legno (designer of TokiDoki). Then I remembered when we got there that he was at Sephora yesterday. Damnit.
So we spent the day walking around Ala Moana, window shopping at all the nice shops. I stopped by Juicy Couture, where I picked up a scarf set for my little sister, who adores the brand. After stopping at the Disney Store, we ate lunch at the California Pizza Kitchen. Audrey was getting fussy so we all jumped in the car and high tailed it home.
Tommy and Smiley are at Jamba Juice now, getting me my Banana Dream with a Burner Boost, and hopefully remembering to buy some toilet paper along the way.

So we were waiting til payday today to go ahead and buy planes tickets. ...
But then college came back from the past to bite me in the butt. HARD.
My mother received a letter addressed to me this week, stating that I still owe a 2,000 dollar loan taken from MassArt wayyy back when I was attending.
Both my mother and I go "WTF??" because we had completely paid off all my loans when my parents' divorced. This was almost four years ago. There is no information on the letter regarding what kind of loan this was, a loan policy number; nothing except a 1800 number. Oh and the little note that says if I do not pay off this loan ASAP, mine and Tommy's state income taxes will be kept by the government This is a huge deal because we really rely on this money each year.
So yesterday I call and am told that my loan was transferred to another company. I contact that company and they can NOT find me in their systems. I spend all day with a rep trying to find me in the systems and even getting his supervisor involved. They contact the original loan program (ACS-education, anyone familiar with them?) who ALSO can not find me in their systems. So to all of them, my mother and I don't even exist. They have no idea what to do, and now I have to wait til Monday to fax the letter I received, so they can try a figure out how they'll proceed. I hope this can be figured out before the government steps in, but even if it is, I'm going to be 2,000 in the hole. 2, 000 of course, that I was going to use to buy those tickets home. :(
*grumble*

Does anyone want to donate to the "buy Kathy a ticket home" fund? Lol...
I have been putting off making announcements for Audrey to send to people because
a. I wanted Audrey to be older and not sleepy newborn like.
b. Everyone I would send to has already seen pictures of her.
c. Not really sure people would want a picture of someone else's baby lying around their houses.
So now that I have the time, should I even bother? I never had any done with Ethan so maybe I'll just give up the idea..

Ok, I've never been the kind of girl who loves make-up, accessories, or handbags, etc. Material things really don't matter to me unless they're electronically related or super-cute. But man oh man, I was walking in Waikiki with my brother and I FELL IN LOVE!
With what you ask?
TOKIDOKI!!!!!!!!!
I love love love their handbags and every LeSportSac store I've been passing has tons of them. The bags come with these adorable Lego Bunnies but the women wouldn't sell me the toy without buying a bag. The designer, Simone Legno, is going to be at the mall today and I would so so so much like to go. It's times like these that I'm so grateful I'm in Hawaii!

I would really like some sleep.
Been driving my mom and brother around, showing them the sights of Hawaii. We rented a van so now Tommy can come along too.
Of course having two kids has not made it easy and we always end up going home all in very bad moods by the end of the day. Seems Ethan can't stop throwing temper tantrums where ever he goes and Audrey's not taking to bottle-feeding at all, which forces me many times to breastfeed in public. Which of course I start crying about everytime and as everyone knows; a crying girl tends to damper the atmosphere a bit. The family leaves tonight though, and I am looking forward to just staying inside again, in my safe and quiet home.
Today we're going to Haunama Bay before we drop them off at night. I'm going to miss my little brother most because we get along so well, it's been fun watching his face light up at every skateboarding clothing store we've gone into. It also has been fun to have someone to laugh like banshees with while watching The Office. My mom has been too busy buying people stuff, which she can't possibly fit into her suitcases, to really notice anything around her.
Overall it's like the best quote I can relate to: "I love my family....when they're over 100 miles away."

Yesterday was Audrey's one month. She got a big photo shoot courtesy of her grandparents , and we had yummy Vietnamese food all day long. Of course I ended up getting sick from eating way too much, but it was so worth it. Today Tommy's parents go onto California to begin setting up for the Dang family reunion in July. Me and Tommy will be attending, so I guess I have a trip to California to look forward to! Overall, they were actually really helpful and I was surprised at how much they took care of me. I am not proud to say it was my very own mom that was causing problems this time, and Tommy's parents were so wanted, we're sad to see them go.
My mom and brother are still here for another week, so I suppose it's time they went sight seeing.
Oh I also got a super cool Samsung Sync cell phone for Christmas. I finally own a cell phone that isn't a hand-me-down. Hopefully this will last longer than my previous phones.
Tommy and I got DS flash stuffers from Jon so we can play any game on our DS for FREE MWHAHA. Best presents ever!
Tommy got a $500 bike and BlackBerry Pearl from his parents (someone's spoiled rotten HO HO)
Ethan got a TMX Elmo, a talking Superman, A talking Winnie the Pooh, a huge Lightening McQueen from Cars, A dancing Mumble from Happy Feet, and a bunch of other junk he probably won't use. Audrey got lots of clothes, a Hello Kitty mink blanket, some frames, little Air Jordan shoes and suits, and general cute things she'll never notice lol.
Ok ok, and one more picture :)
